The Oath

I called this drawing “The Oath.”
Its inspiration was the moment of the young knight's oath and the knightly code of laws.

Defend the king. Be obedient to him. Keep his secrets. Carry out his commands. Lay down your life for him. But obey your father. Love your sister. Kneel before your mother. Defend the innocent. Take care of the weak. Respect the gods. Obey the laws.
